CH MITCHUM OF SUNHAWK NORWATCH

Mitchum was one of the prettiest puppies we've had in our kennel! He had an exquisite head, well defined chin without being too undershot and had the darkest of eyes. He was never destined to go abroad but a friend of ours, Bob Tyrell who lived in Perth, W. Australia, visited us in 1989, liked the look of Mitchum and when he went back home rang to ask if he could buy him. We thought long and hard about this as Mitchum was doing a fair bit of winning and already had a CC and a couple of RCCs. After much soul searching we finally agreed; However, we agreed to keep him here until the summer of 1990 as it would be cooler in Australia for him to acclimitise.

We didn’t tell anyone of his impending exportation as we thought it might hamper his chances of ever getting made up and at his very last show in this country under breed specialist, Brenda Groves, he was awarded his third and qualifying CC.

Mitch went on to produce a fair number of Australian champions - he was very closely bred to excellent producing lines and before he was exported we and a few other breeders were lucky enough to have used him.
